Hi, i thought i had quit mashada but i will give one last comment. Take it as wise counsel as someone who came from way back in kenyaniyetu and has walked the illustrious route of LDR.

First of all that is the most challenging relationship anyone can get themselves into. Second this is one relationship that feeds on hope and hope has to be tangible, there has to be a reasonable time frame during which the couple will eventually hook up. It takes too long and they get distracted, and no hope= no relationship.

So i guess in this way, the dude/chic in kenya had no hope of ever coming to the states.. or the dude/chic in the states saw him/herself not going back to kenya soon and so gave up on the relationship. this negative energy feeds off the relationship and it dies a natural death.. but it can be rekindled.

Anyway the proof of the pie is in the eating and different folks.. different strokes and sometimes people just drift apart. But in my POV i think LDR's are hope dependent and what kills em is lack of hope thereof.
