Maybe Ethiopia has this problem too. The Eastleigh born-bred Ethiopians may not suffer this.
Another thing, Ethiopia is a very very poor country, suffering from ages of communist/socialist/imperial/dictatorship legacy, so many of the cutest chicks you see are actually villagers, in fact your maid may be better educated even though less pretty. So the teeth may betray...
As for food, theirs is heavily spicy, using mainly rosemary spice and the other red powder whose source my Ethio-friends have refused to identify to me! They buy and sell amongst themselves in small plastic wrappers, almost like drug trading...heh heh... But that smoke incense used when preparing ceremonial coffee, that's way too much... But I can't see how that will affect teeth?
