We have the solutions within us and all is possible in the presence of rapport which is something we all do very well in our african culture. I am amazed by all this talk about democracy, we had democracy even before the colonial governments. That is how elders made decisions, how it's done during ceremonies etc. We have so much to celebrate, why have we forgotten so much our most admired values by the western world. We are behaving exactly how those who look down on Africans would like us to. We have to take responsibility for our lives, create the future we want to have for our continent, country villages.

We need to start the healing process right now and it has to start within, individually. I love Kenya and Africa, I long for the day I will see a vibrant and confident continent, feeling worthy and full of integrity. It is all there if we only dare to look. Why do we hate ourselves so much?

Others come and enjoy our people, the beauty and the best in our country of our country. Whilst we miss it all. We have so much potential if we can start to learn to love and trust again. We all want the same things at the end of the day. The hatred is so misplaced. A waste of energy if only this energy could be directed into something positive. Politicians use the same division tactics that were used by the colonial governments and we rise up to it.

I was distressed earlier when i saw a young luo mother being interviewed today, she watched her husband killed. How do you recover from that? Or even the other kikuyu mother who's 5 yr old was thrown into that church fire! We all hurt, all want love, peace, kindness, fairness, health, food etc.

So we suddenly don't value life, killing even children. What did they ever do?

If killing kikuyus is the solution, then there's a lot to be done and by the time we are done, i can not comprehend the smell raking in the air and those left will have to leave just to get away from it. And not forgetting hunger and lack of everything else since all will be busy killing the kyuks. So it doesn't look like it will be 'live happily ever after' after all!

We are better than this!
