Atlian the bible does not encourage one to tolerate violence! if your husband beats you ofcourse you can separate from him but you will have to reamain unmarried! As for as i knw if your mate does anything unbiblical ( not supporting your family financially being one of them) you can leave him but not divorce him. If he/she sleeps with someone else then you can divorce.

it's this blind irrational mindset that I am talking about. Why should you have to remain unmarried for the rest of his life because of what he does to you? How the heck can that be just?

Marriage is just like any other contract. It's as simple as that. This belief that marriage is blessed by god is just hogwash. If marriage was indeed blessed by god, divorce would not exist. That's because god would hook you up with the best potential partner for you. Do you realize that in the US most divorces are between Christian couples who had a Christian marriage "blessed by god" in a church!

Marriage, like any other contract, can fail for whatever reason. You just need to use your mind and figure out when to walk away. If you're 25, you have the rest of your life ahead of you. Just annul this bad contract, and the next thing you know is you might find yourself with the one man who was truly meant to be your husband. Don't let a mistake keep you in chains forever, especially if the mistake is on his part! But if you decide that the best thing is for you to suffer lonely and single for the next 60 years because of what some book says, then you deserve the suffering you will go through for being so simple minded!



P.S You don´t have to be an aethist to use your thinking ability. I find actually believing in a God is using your brain!!!!!

Actually, no! Believing in god means accepting bila any questions or doubts whatever you're told by your holy book and your religion concerning your god. If the Bible said that god had 9 legs, 45 hands, 37 horns and was green and yellow in color, then the Christian would believe exactly that! It's not thinking, it's being spoon-fed and swallowing bila any questions. That's why when the Bible says that god created the world in 6 days 6,000 years ago, the Christian blindly believes that. The atheist uses his brain and questions why there is so much empirical evidence pointing to the fact that the world existed millions of years before the Bible's creation date.
