To answer your question youngben, the apostles abolished the law in Acts 15 so that the Gentiles can receive the Gospel. They reduced it to abstaining from pollution of idols, fornication, from things strangled and from blood. That change was made once and no one has the authority to make any more changes.
The focus of the New Testament is how to live a life free from sin, preach the Gospel, take care of the needy and stay away from false prophets.
