Islam did not come to fight Christianity but to continue where Jesus PBUH left off. You see my friend, ther was no Trinity, celibacy, praying to or wearing a cross etc when Jesus PBUH was alive. Islam recognises Christians (those who follow the true teachings of Christ) and the Qur'an says this about them...

"Those who believe (in the Qur'an), and those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Christians and the Sabians,- any who believe in Allah and the Last Day, and work righteousness, shall have their reward with their Lord; on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve." (Qur'an 2:62)

Now does this sound like a faith that is based on bashing Christianity? In the verse above, Allah is what the Bible refers to as GOD, the Supreme Being. Not one of the three or any of the trinity but the SUPREME GOD. The same God that Jesus believed in and was crying to when he was about to be crucified and he said..."My God, My God, Why Have You Forsaken Me?"
