I dont think it was a contradiction. Rather I was expressing that the Supreme Being isnt unreachable to anybody irrespective of their crimes or sexual orientation.

Believing and praying to God makes you an agnostic.

Believing that Jesus christ died to save us from eternal torment and that we also believe and pray to God and we follow the teachings of Jesus christ makes one a christian.

Therefore gays may believe and pray to God. No one can control or dictate how one should make that choice...that is a personal belief. However when one transcribes to be a CHRISTIAN not just by believing and praying to God then one cannot then be gay. Because christ's teachings are against gay's as many people can undoubtedly lift out several scriptural quotes.
