i'm not sure which books of the old testament you are reading but the central theme of the bible (old and new testament) is Christ (the messiah).

FYI sabbath is Saturday. both in the old and new testament. Makes me wonder which Bible or Judaism you are talking about.

The reason why Christians go to church on sunday and not saturday is that Christ was raised from death on Sunday.
