Default Shabbat and Havdalah - 10-22-2005, 11:23 PM

For nearly 4 years now, I can't seem to get anything done on Suday. I usually sleep the entire day and eat minimally. Sometimes I go to church on Sunday.

For me, Sunday seems to be my day of Shabbat or the Sabbath. I think this is a spiritual thing. At the moment, I'm waiting for midnight so that I can end the Sabbath and catch up with some readings.

I'm now learning abt Havdalah which is the ceremony that marks the breaking of the Sabbath. I am also learning abt the symbols of Havdalah which include Kosher wine, spices like cloves (Karafuu)and 2 candles. For today, I only have Karafuu. For wine, I am using Sierra Mist.

Over the years, I have began to feel that the Judaism is the truest form of reaching God. God forgive me for my wavering faith.

One of the prayers said on Havdalah is Psalms 20:10 which says:

God, redeem us. The King will answer on the day we call.

I will end my Sabbath with this prayer/verse.
