TM,

if the Bible doesn't mention anything about Christ's marital status, then isn't it obvious that chances are 50 - 50 that he was either married or not? TeeJay argued that Christ was NOT married because the Bible doesn't mention anywhere about him being married. I was just presenting the other side of the argument.

My argument is simple - since we're at 50 - 50 as to whether Christ was married, lets then look at other factors that can favor each argument. On the positive sides (reasons why Christ would have been married), god is pro marriage, Christ was living like a normal man doing everything normal men did them days (apart from sinning) so it's logical he did the normal thing and got married, etc. All these add weight to the marriage side of the evidence, hence it's logical that he was married. When I ask TeeJay why he says Christ wasn't married, all he can say is "The Bible doesn't say so."

BTW the drug addict analogy is flawed

Let me correct this - I have never said that there is NO god. I just say that I don't BELIEVE that there is a god. You also don't know whether god exists or not, you just BELIEVE that there is a god. So that's what separates us, belief, not facts.

Also, I don't have to give an iota of evidence to prove that god doesn't exist. Why can't you understand this basic maxim - the onus of the proof is on the believer! You believe that a god exists, then you prove it to me. Don't come tell me that 7 legged pygmies live behind your grand mathes house, then when I say that I don't believe you, you tell ME to prove that there are no 7 legged pygmies behind your grand mathes house.
