TM, there you go being all self-righteous and defensive again, who says I don't notice? If the topic at hand was chaps who blow all their float on drugs, I'd have pointed out that they are nut cases, but the topic was about tithing. If tithing or spending too much of your limited income on alcohol leads to you being homeless, then you are a nut case.

Assume you suddenly have other money issues that crop up (e.g. your dad is sick and you need $$$ to take care of him). You can get this money in only 2 ways, either give the lanlord half the rent, or tithe 5% instead of 10%. If you tithe the 10% and pay the land-lord half the rent, which ends up with you being homeless, then I think you’re a nut case. I think tithing should be after all your basic needs are taken care of, and if all you have left is 0.2% of your income, then that has to be it.

>I tithe cause I am free. Please never give If its out of being
>'forced'

TM, I thought you tithe coz god commanded his followers to tithe 10%? The bible says that god told his peeps to tithe since everything belongs to god, so they are just giving back to him what is his. Why should god need to be given anything back, he doesn’t need anything? Tithing is obviously a man-made thing to fund the religious body.
