To quote Drezy1 verbatim, "By so strongly categorizing as nonsense and idea simply based on the fact that you have never heard of it, only serves to flaunt your ignorance."
Read your Bible, you'll see god had very many rules on how the Israelites should treat their slaves. That means that he endorsed slavery to the point of making rules on how to handle it. In fact the Old and New Testaments are full of rules on how to treat your slaves, and also some rules on how the slaves should respect their owners. If he was against slavery, he'd have told them to free the slaves. God also told Abraham that he would bless him with numerous slaves among other things. So according to god, numerous slaves are a blessing. Jesus said a slave must completely obey and fear his master, even if his master is cruel and unjust. I guess he was rolling along with that "turn the other cheek" crap.
God had commandments on who to capture as slave, when to free Hebrew slaves compared to other slaves, what to do to slaves if they were rude to you, what punishments and sacrifices one should offer if you killed your slave, how to treat an ox that gores a slave compared to an ox that gores a non-slave, etc. God even has rules on how to sell your own DAUGHTER into slavery, which from the Bible comes across as if you're selling her into a form of prostitution.
In fact many of the Southerners here who kept slaves and the Boers who oppressed miros during apartheid used the Bible to justify what they were doing!
PS: I await the Bible apologists to unleash their views on why their god could not have been pro slavery despite the Bible clearly saying he was.
>>As for other black tribes with slaves, i have never

Kwani you were sleeping during those history lessons in high school? Enough tribes, kwanza West African ones, kept slaves. I'll just name one tribe - the Ashanti of Ghana. This is how the slave trade used to operate. The Ashanti (never jungus) would go into the heart of Africa and capture slaves, then sell them to those jungus at the ports. These Ashanti also kept slaves. So did numerous other tribes in Africa.
Even in the US, there were 3,000 blacks here in the South who owned fellow blacks as slaves.
