@ TM, not virtually every religion. Just the ones that you choose to acknowledge.

It is interesting that you should choose to explore this topic, because, TM, Christianity actually has a similar status with respect to Judaism. Christians claim continuity from Judaism, and find references to their Messiah, Jesus Christ, in what they call the Old Testament. Needless to say, most Jewish believers do not recognize Jesus as the Messiah, and would likely raise points similar to the ones you bring up here.
PROPHECY is a complex issue, but interesting all the same.
