>Thanx for ur reply anyways but have u
>ever sat down and thought...critically about religion??

My main aim in this world is to think about God and the Grace he has extended to us through his son Jesus Christ. Try to understand him and obey His commands and to appreciate the Love that He has shown to us even though we consistently wrong Him. Religion to me takes it meaning in that form. John 1 and 3:16.Anything short of that is foreign to my definition of religion

>What makes u think the Bible is the undisputable fact holder? Mind

>Bible to be the map to heaven??

The purpose for which God’s word (Bible) is intended is for us to know more about Him and his love for us obey and worship him. Now if there is any bible that does not teach these things then it should be buried in the grave of forgetfulness. The bible might have been through numerous translations but then mine still speaks of God with such a reverence as it deed in Aramaic as well as Greek back then. My bible acknowledges Him as the supreme creator of Heaven and earth and everything that liveth upon the face of this earth. He is God who lives forever. He is the great I AM who sent his only Son to show us the way to getting back to God by following His light.

You did ask me.... “So then how can u claim the Bible to be the map to heaven??” . By the way are you questioning the authority of God’s word?? It does not come as a surprise to me. I have already known that even when Christ lived amongst the Inhabitants of this world they still questioned his authenticity not for sincere intent but with greater disapproval. When Christ told the Jews that he was son of God, they branded him blasphemous. And they said, “Isn’t this the son of Joseph?” (Mark you, they still say that today). Yes, I did not think that even his word (The bible) will be of significance to the later day inhabitants of this world. So they say, “Isn’t this book just like the weekly Journal??” Well listen to this. Christ says, “I am the way the truth and life the only way to the father is through me (Christ)” John 14:6 .Where will you know that (the way to the Father-read heaven) if not from the bible

The bible from Gen- Malachi in Old testaments speaks of messiah’s Coming John 5:39 The New Testament fulfills this prophecy John 5:46. Isn’t it this some great fact to you? My bible is only different from the earlier versions in the sense that it has been printed in English while the other versions were in Aramaic, Hebrew, Greek and Latin. God intended that His Love and Character must be preached to the world and so His Spirit has preceded in leading chosen men to speak in tongues and translate the bible into languages familiar to multitudes of the world that are enslaved by the yoke of sin. Those who believe are truly blessed. The Old Testament is the New Testament embodied and the new is old unfolded. The OT is the root the NT is the fragrant blossom fruit it bears. The Old Testament sheds light upon the New Testament and the new upon the old. Each therefore is a revelation of God’s Glory in Christ. Both present truths that will continually reveal new depth of meaning to earnest seekers.

During his time on this earth there are two points that the lord stressed on more. (I) Love the lord your God with all your strength, soul, mind and might and (II) Love thy neighbor as thyself. If you are a keen student of the bible then you must know that those two points are a summery of the Ten Commandments that were passed down to Moses at Sinai. These are the holy precepts upon which our moral standards must be gauged. My bible says that the great Original copy of the divine precepts is preserved in the heavenly sanctuary Rev 11:19. If your bible says otherwise toss it out of the window. I don’t know how original you wanted it to be but I know God’s Love from Genesis is original up to Revelation. Am glad that the bible has been translated to reach me, and may the name the Lord be praised forever. That day my bible ceases to talk of God’s special light and love is the day I will disbelieve it wholly.

>Ever thought of the Koran..its
>followers claims it holds the key directions to get u closer
>to Allah..

Even though I know this will open up a war of words, I will tread upon that path with courage knowing its full plight. Here we go.Well, only by reading does one gain knowledge. According to Abu Ameenah Bilal a Philips a renown Moslem devotee and scholar, Muslims Believe in all of God's messengers(Think of All the prophets in the bible too Adam right down to Jesus Christ) and they also Belief in all the books sent down to His prophets. These books include Torah (first five books in the bible), Zabur, Injeel (Gospel). Having known this fact you can now see that Moslems do know bible in fact they read it but contemptuously. I say that because they like the Jewish scribes of Christ’s time profess proudly great knowledge of the scriptures, but know nothing, nay are blind. Why do I say this? All the prophets talked about the coming of Christ and His birth, but Muslims refute the words of those same messengers they believe in. Allah is then just Allah- Islamic god.

Injeel (Gospel) talks about Christ’s life on earth. Those four Gospels (Mathew, Mark, Luke and John) show that Christ openly stated his mission on earth until when he was lifted back to heaven. To them (Moslem) Christ is a mortal, thus just another man. Moreover Christ often talked about his impending death and even Caiaphas the high priest at the time predicted that Christ would die for the Jewish people John 11:50-51...Moslems (who apparently believe in the Gospels) say, nay Allah (read Islamic go) cannot suffer his messenger to be humiliated therefore he replaced Christ with another person who took the pain on the cross. What a gross statement! You realize that statement completely shatters the Salvation story in the Gospels and what was spoken about Christ by the old prophets of the Torah. If Islam and “Prophet Muhammad” were offended in like manner, fatwa would be the next cause of action! It leaves me questioning their reading “prowess” or there must be other gospels and Torahs known only to Islam world.

A portion of Christ’s tutorial on prayer to his followers says, “thy (God’s) will be done as in Heaven,” to Moslems means surrender to the will of Allah and thus to them Jesus taught Islam. This claim I vehemently refute by saying that it is Muhammad who founded Islam in what they call Christian era C.E. (long after Christ was lifted to heaven) and not Christ. Secondly if Christ was Moslem then why don’t they believe He is son of God? I mean these are people who profess acceptance for the great books of the Torah and Gospels. Does it mean Moslems are in conflict with one of their own? I doubt it. It appears to be a desperate PR attempt to justify their Islamic doctrine cause through hook and crook.

The Torah which the Muslims belief in, are the first five books in the bible. Any question about that? In fact the Quran has some of its teachings taken from the bible, but of course a Muslim will rubbish this talk simply because the pain of accepting the bible as is so immense to them. It could make Islam loose face. Hence their accepting of the bible piecemeal. You can now clearly see for your self the bible alone is the way home. Of course one might want to read other suppliments to help them study the bible well. The quran is certainly not Good suppliment. Avoid it and other books like it.

Sample this phrase from the Quran "I have only created Jlnns(demons or majinis) and men, that they may worship me"(Soorah Zaareeyaat 51:56). Now Jinn or Jini are demons and owe loyalty to the demon world only because they come from satan. In the story of creation we are not told of any Jinn being created. So this person who creates Jinns is another god altogether. Even satan, the bible says was an exalted creature before he rebelled against God. God did not create evil, but the Quran says otherwise. Satan worships himself and not God. Jinn are his (Satan’s) accomplice how then they worship another superior. I told avoid that book at all costs.

>why are there these two books??

One(bible) leads you to the light and the other one(quran) confuses you. Now think about another power that opposes God that would love to have you confused so as to benefit his world.

>Mark u there are many more but the two are the most common.

Avoid them if they do not reconcile with the bible. Besides I have told you that there is only one way to the father who is Christ his son (not God’s son According to Islam), you tell me why there are two books. And which one you think is the light. You believe in God don’t you? Believe in God is through faith. Faith without action is dead. If you read the bible then you are must have chosen to ignore the verse that says that we must test all the spirits that come in God’s name. Let me ask you this. One spirit tells you that deny God (spirit that says Christ is not God’s son) yet it professes to come in God’s name and another one accepts Christ which is the spirit of light?

>Like Wakili always says...how can u claim ur religion to be
>the right one?? If it were so..everybody would be in it.

Why isn't satan worshiping God yet God created him? Every person has a choice to make, in this case between Light and darkness. Christ is the light of the world, the person that follows me(Christ) will never live in darkness, John 8:12. If a religion exalts the light why not join in and give glory the one who deserves the glory. Light is the right religion and that is my religion.

Let wakili say what he wants he has all the freedom at least for the time being. He has made his mind. What about you. It is common sense that one blind man cannot lead another blind man they will both fall in a ditch.

>So..u
>need to do alot of reading ma friend and guess wat u will end
>up with the same questions I got...!

Ye of little faith when will you totally believe in God. Blessed is he who believes. Do something about your faith. Nurture it and be strong in Christ only then will you not be troubled but will be satisfied with his word. I tell you what when I read I get great satisfaction from his Assurances. I know that I have a father who knows my name. In fact a lot of reading is good for me because his word says that his people that trust in him are happy Psalms 2:12... His word also gives good advice Psalms 119:24

>What makes u think that
>people who beleive in Gikuyu na Mumbi (like Wakili will after
>he's done his reading) are on the wrong track???

They do not know God. So the two are their gods

>Just to have
>an Idea of wat kinda person I am/...I do beleive in
>GOD..totally..I know there must be a creator somewhere.

If you do belief in God then why can’t you take up you cross and follow his son. His son is the light and thus the true religion. Put you mouth where your heart is. Show that you believe in God, instead of putting up defense for other things you don’t even know. A dog only vomits the contents of the meal it feeds on. If you believe in God then Vomit God in your talk, your thoughts(all your soul and mind) and actions(all your strength). So far what I see in you is a doubtful believer. Anyone who comes in Christ’s name is not against God also read James 1:8 A double minded man is unstable in all his ways. In who’s name do you come?

>but I
>feel bad when stupidly egocentric Christians look down upon
>other religions..!

I tell you what if Christians were to look to up to other religions that are lightless then Nobody would really know God instead we’d look up to(like you say) Gikuyu and Mumbi. Both of who cannot redeem a soul. Will you call me egocentric if asked another person to quite worshipping a statue?

>WHen u read the Bible..always know that to
>someone else those are pages just like the Weekly Journal
>newspaper pages. I used to see when someone burnt a bible back
>home..cause it was old and dirty and they now had a new
>one..guys would be like u going to hell. That's now wat I call
>BULL.

Your biggest yoke is someone else.Someone else matters to you too much in fact it begins to sound as if that someone else is you. What someone else says about the bible? There is only one someone else you should heed and yield to - Christ. In spiritual matters one will stand alone. Neither wakili nor that weekly journal reader nor the bible burner will appear for you in the heavenly court. It is between you and God

There came a time when Christ had to ask his followers who they thought he was because he being from above knew that they were doubtful in their hearts. A time has come for me to ask you what you personally think the bible is. I do believe that from the way you talk and think you still have a lot to know from the bible. Only then will you be fully answered. Don’t wait to ask only questions, but thirst for the word sincerely and you will be shown the Good things that come in the word satisfactorily. Remember the student of scripture looks, as ir were, into a fountain that deepens and broadens
as he gazes into its depths.
