>Is this the somberly way of differing
>with soemeone? Why do you brand me
>blasphamous? Why do you sound so
>uncomfortable with my mere view about
>religion? Do you know what it means to
>agree to disagree?
Well Proletariat mine is not to differ with you but to tell the truth and bear witness of the light anywhere and everywhere I go........Like the song goes
"this light of mine am gonna let it
this light of mine am gonna let it shine"....
..... hey people back me up.
Your mere view as you call it,is scornful and imprudent to any Christain faithful. It seem like your tongue and thinking has ceased to be wholesome and instead you have embraced perverseness in your thread above. This is a breach in Spirit.
It is not time for differing with one another infact Am told by the word that the difference happened long time ago in heaven and The light won against Darkness.Satan as result was thrown out.Just when he thought he had won when he murdered christ,he was again put to shame when Christ raised from the dead.
>Actually, I have nothing negative with
>christianity. In fact, I'm just quoting
>the same Bible they read, with a
>different interpretation. I also respect
>your view, portraying me as being
>negative about christianity, simply
>because I have no option but to respect
>your view.
Now I'll tell you one thing even Satan knows what the bible pretty clearly says and of course many other people who finds the bible as just a mere story book. Therefore quoting from the bible to people of the above nature can as well be the same as quoting from Chinua Achebe.
NOTE:John 4:9 And he(SATAN) brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence...
John 4:10 FOR IT IS WRITTEN, HE SHALL GIVE HIS ANGELS CHARGE OVER THEE, TO KEEP THEE.....
Jonh 4:11 And in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone.
Note how the Lord wins easily over satan.....
John 4:12 And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God.
>Like Chinua Achebe, in Things Fall
>Apart, Obierika a character in that
>novel said that "an old woman is always
>uneasy when dry bones are mentioned."
One thing you need to know is that God's word is not just a mere literature. This is spiritual your own human interpretation will not work with the bible Why????.It is not whatsoever comparable to those nigerian books you are herein quoting.
Am not uneasy in anyway am just amazed at how blasphemous and rebelious one can be against his on MASTER.At this point it is not difficult to liken your "mule" attitude to that of the Children of Jacob during their exodus from Egypt. And for that matter one becomes a fool in the eye of the Lord
A fool here means one who denies wisdom in his path.Let us take a look at what the book of proverbs says about fools
When you talk about God you must mention HIS name with care, you must fear HIM for HE is Wisdom.
bible says in......
Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction
Not the end, or totality, of knowledge, but the beginning, without which other data are meaningless or even perverse. "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom" (Proverbs 9:10; Job 28:28; Psalm 111:10).This tells you that inviting the Lord in one's life is inviting knowlegde
Proverbs 1:22 How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?
Proverbs 10:23 It is as sport to a fool to do mischief: but a man of understanding hath wisdom.
If you still see this as dry bones then I have this too to say to you....
.....Proverbs 10:14 Wise men lay up knowledge: but the mouth of the foolish is near destruction.
GOD CREATED US
READ YOUR BIBLE EVERYDAY
