i feel you my sister/ brother. i was in your situation some time back and what i had to do was to try a new company over the christmas holiday so i took my legs to my aunt's and my uncle's and many could not understand why i preferred being with my family. my own sis in kenya just commented "how innocent." when i called her, but believe me i don't regret any moment spent there.

i discovered that the only thing that you can do is try to know more people out there, as many as you can and ensure that they should be people who you know would be there for you when you need them in times of problems,as these people that you have a drinking spree with 24/7 trust me 99% of them are just there for that purpose. try new activities as well. try to stay home when you normally go out to drink and watch a movie you have wanted to in a long time, ALONE!, believe me it feels good to be alone at times apart from the noisy surroundings. or try skiing as IB suggested, also skating, a gym, try meeting people who don't live to drink all their extra time, they exist!!!! trust me and sometimes it's fun to be with them more than the drunkards all the time. but don't throw your other friends coz you found others. you still share some common characteristics.

tried my best in answering you and best of luck in your search for the best decision you can ever make.
