There are success cards and then there are success cards. After a few years in the US, I realized no one in the US sends a success card. I think if it wasnt for my 8-4-4 up bring, I really would have missed out on the whole success card phenomenon in Kenya.
Kenyans love to send success cards around like they are some token of acceptance for the embarrassing exams you are about to partake. And you can tell when finals are coming up coz all around the City they will be success cards hanging from hawkers arms and walk ways with partners pictured on Uhuru highway Lake... Sorry I mean Uhuru park. (who the hell decided that a picture of the man made dam/lake was a sign of success). Its so pathetic. The last time a chile sent me a success card with flowers, I knew I was going to fail, without a doubt.
I think someone should scan and upload some samples so that i can die - and allow others to send esuccess cards to each other online.
